Insulation from drought is realized via implementation of the Irrigation Solution. As we presently continue to pump underground fresh water sources for human consumption we are causing other issues to arise, such as sinking cities and sinking agricultural growing areas. The possibility of ‘Dust Bowl’ storms becomes significant as land masses permanently dry out. If we irrigate using the water supplied by desalinization then the natural fresh water sources can start to become replenished thus reversing the process of draining the water tables worldwide. Additionally, because the land is irrigated the topsoil is no longer arid and dusty and is no longer prone to blowing away in a wind storm. Most important is that with a virtually limitless supply of water, we can insulate ourselves from the negative impact on our agriculture or water sources during prolonged dry weather cycles. In fact, we would preclude those possible events entirely and become completely immune to the natural occurrence of droughts.
